Pre-race routine:

Got there early enough to check out the ampitheater and expo area. Picked up number and chip. Went back to car to put on shoes and number belt.
Event warmup:

Jogged back from the car to the line for the john. Walked back to the expo area and collected my wife then walked towards the start. Stretched some once there.

Comments:

I didn't run hte plan I had laid out but felt fine and did well. I took a gel before I started and another at the 4.5 - 5 mile water stop. I think they made a difference.
What would you do differently?:

Run more!!
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around and got an apple and banana. Tried to keep moving.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need to run more.

Event comments:

First water stop was around 3 mile mark. Alot of the snacks had been scarfed up by all the 5k people by the time I finished, fruit is all there was.
I looked for Runnergirl but did not see her. Oh well, maybe next time. All in all a good run and I am pleased with my performance. Oh yea, I thought it was a 9 mile run not 9.3 so I had picked it up thinking I was getting close only to find there were 3 more tenths!! Oh well, still finished well and felt strong.

Course: Good course. Not too many hills and run mostly on paved paths through the woods. Very nice.
