Run
Comments: I felt good for the first 10 miles. The light rain and hills did not faze me. At one point, I thought I might be able to do the race in under 2 hours. Heading up the hill coming out of Piedmont Park, I hit "the wall." I am not sure if it was because of lack of training >10 mile or because of the hills in the last 5K of the course. In all I was expecting to finish the race in under 2:15, and that is what I did. However, with a little more training, I could have been much closer to 2 hours. What would you do differently?: I should train more for hills, especially at the end of a run. I should also practice running 13+ miles. Post race
Event comments: A good race, but a tough hilly last few miles. Last updated: 2009-11-28 12:00 AM

Went to bed at 9pm. Woke at 12:30 and laid in bed until 3:30. From 3:30 to 4:30 had 20oz water and 3 pieces of whole wheat toast with Vegemite.
5am: got dressed.
Jerome picked me up at 5:30.
Arrived at Olympic Centennial Park at 6:15. By the time I used the port-a-jon and found my time group, I only had 10 minutes before start. Did no special warmup other than walking from MARTA and through the park.
