Pre-race routine:

peanut butter, jelly and challah for breakfast, sun salutations and spinal twists to warm up - the race started 6 blocks from my moms, so waited for the literal last possible minute.
  • 54m 11s
  • 5 miles
  • 10m 50s  min/mile

I felt so happy and content during this run. No headphones or music, and I really focused on "what if it's possible for the next five miles I could love myself"...all the way down to "what if it's possible for the next 3/4 of a mile, I can love myself and run my ass off" and I sprinted the last 3/4 of a mile (I was running 11:10's before that) it was great, and I felt so happy - shaved off 22 seconds per mile!
What would you do differently?:

Run faster - I can definitely take it
Post race
Warm down:

Ate an apple, stretched a bit.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

COLD! Plus, I had a cold, plus, I would love to attain the faith that my body can take me RUNNING.

Event comments:

Truly a "classic" - cold, great volunteers and lots of fun.

Course: Slightly hilly and freezing - the cups of water were frozen by the time I got to them! It was really, really, really cold, but a gorgeous day and I felt so happy.
