Swim
Comments: Only got kicked once! Managed to get around the slower girls pretty good and without much difficulty What would you do differently?: Definitely practice the swimming more, even though I'm a great swimmer...especially open water (only went 3 times before actual race) Transition 1
Comments: Didn't have my own bike. Borrowed Bob's bike. Put on bike shorts in between the shoes and the shirt. Don't have clip shoes either so I wore my running shoes which I, washed off my feet, dried them off, put on socks, put on shoes, tied the shoes. Put on my shirt with bib number on it, cleaned off my sunglasses, put helmet on, sunglasses on and then dismounted bike from rack. I know this transition could have been faster. I just don't like things on the bottom of my feet and wanted to be comfortable. What would you do differently?: Maybe learn how to do transitions faster while still being comfortable Bike
Transition 2
Comments: Better transiction due to already having running shoes one my feet with socks and everything else already on. Only had to rack the bike Run
Comments: Ran/jogged the whole way Post race
Warm down: Walk around, keep moving for a little bit What limited your ability to perform faster: Transitions and not really knowing how to train for my first triathlon Event comments: I had alot of fun and saw some people that I knew! It was fun Last updated: 2009-12-15 12:00 AM

I don't know what this means, but... I woke up an hour before leaving the cabin. I had a small bowl of oatmeal and an FRS drink (with Quercitine in it). James put my number on me with a happy sun picture as well! We got on the shuttle and went to transition, where I set up all of my stuff for the rest of the race. I put a balloon there the day before, not knowing it would deflate for the next morning! You live and learn, right! Then we met up with Michele Spenny, took some pictures and warmed up with her group.
Did some stretching and some jumping jacks, run in place to warm up the muscles. (There were tons of mosquitos out too, so it helped to keep moving)
