Swim
Comments: an average swim for me. had hoped to be a little faster but kind of sums up the way I am swimming right now What would you do differently?: improve my technique, spend more time in the pool Transition 1
Comments: with swimsuits not allowed t1 was pretty quick. Transitions on this course will vary a lot based on the location of your rack as you can have a long run with your bike on the way in and way out What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: knew I had to make some ground up on the bike and run bc I am bad at the swim. I did not get passed during the bike and was flying by people. the time includes a short run with bike from t1 to mounting area and from dismount to t2. computer was out throughout ride, so I rode on feel Transition 2
Run
Comments: ran well from the start. passed one person in my age group in the first 100 yards. everyone else I passed was in earlier age groups. I never noticed/saw the leader in my ag. this is my fastest 5k ever, let alone in a tri. I am pretty confident I can go quicker in a tri Post race
Warm down: waited for my girlfriend to finish and ate the post race food talked to my sister and mom who came to cheer for Christine and I. Event comments: Christine and I both had very good races. This is the first time that I placed in my ag. This is 2 races in a row with very good results. The bike and run continue to improve. Swim still needs lots of help Last updated: 2009-12-17 12:00 AM
