Comments: Fast. Very fast. Went hard, steady, but thats faster than in pool. Mustve been short? ![]() Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Run? Take less time? ![]() Bike
Comments: Train hills more. Was a good course, but last 15 miles or so were in rain. So did not take full advantage of some downhill parts cuz didnt want to wipe. Still hit 30 couple times. 2 bottles Gatorade, 1 gel at about mile 15. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Hamstrings were very tight. worried me about run. Usually do not feel as tight after bike. Took time to stretch out and take a leak. Socks were soaked from bike. Barefoot+ton of Glide for run. Keep extra Glide at transition! That it was there for this race was a mistake/accident. Must do going forward. ![]() Run
Comments: Started with a bottle of water to ward off cramps. Definitely good idea. kept moving and walking to minimum. Definitely felt fatigue in legs around mile 4 or so. Ate gel at beginning and another around mile 4. Some parts of trail were real muddy, slippery. ![]() Post race
Event comments: Well run and much more what I would hope to get from RAM. They had it well staffed, course well marked, Vols at all turns and a couple of cops directing traffic at bigger intersections. Run course got yucky in spots but rain+trail=mud. Went well overall. Massive hydration helpd immensely. Nutrition seemed about right, as did pacing. Just about broke 3 hours and wasnt even trying did not want to really press before Racine.
