Run
Comments: Run felt good, didnt have to stop and walk at all. Thought I had an easy pace, in hindsight maybe too easy but this being first duathlon I didnt want to leave all there with another one coming later. What would you do differently?: Not much, maybe picked it up a little bit. Transition 1
Comments: Went good, wouldnt say I hurried through it. What would you do differently?: Would wore my clips Bike
Comments: Just felt slow on the bike. Not sure why, maybe because I wasnt clipped in. 10 miles in both hamstrings "rolled-up" on me so that really slowed down my last 5 miles. Very high profile, caught a lot of drag. What would you do differently?: Clipped in. Transition 2
Comments: Both legs locked, had to walk into transition and ease into the run. dealt with pain from that the rest fo the 3 miles. What would you do differently?: Not sure. Nothing Run
Comments: Hamstrings rolled-up could not really get a good stride, didnt have a really big impact on the run compared to the first 30miles, but I probaly could have hit that harder. Ran the last 200 yards with Joe and Abby - great great stuff. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Hugged my wife and children and walked a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: Used this as a heavy workout day, wasnt ready to go fast and didnt. I did cover a distance longer than I ever had, set some marks to beat in May and really left a lot out there. Event comments: Well organized, secure, and overall a great time.
