Swim
Comments: After things thinned out, was fine. By my watch I was climbing out of the water at 28:xx, which is great. Swim was best part of the day, except for that mile to my bike afterwards. The 31 includes the run to transition. Transition 1
Comments: I suck. I take too long, but who really cares? Bike
Comments: Rolling time and speed much faster than this. Trying to stay hydrated has its downside. Had to stop for facilities, I swear i peed for five minutes. Took salt pills, 2x gatorade. Still not enough. Was already feeling it coming into T2. Transition 2
Comments: Leg was cramped/stiff. Couldnt run on it. Took forever to get out of T2, could only run a few steps before it totally tightened on me. Run
Comments: Walked ALOT. Maybe first mile/mile and half. Then could do some run walk, run walk, etc. Became just finish and go home. That I did. Post race
Warm down: Icy towel, some water. Then to the Cluster of Transition to get my stuff. Pros were swimming as I walked back. Damn they are fast! Event comments: I just dont think I can hydrate right on days like that. This race was like Bangs lake last year when it was sunny and 90s and felt a lot like Racine. I also think I need to do more stretching or something, I was already feeling tight going into the race and never really got loose before the pain started on the run. Oh well. It is in the books. 3 or so hours of waiting. 1/2 bottle gatorade and about a litre of water while waiting. It got HOT when the sun got over the clouds.
