Run
Comments: Learned Big-time that pace counts for everything...felt incredibly strong at the beginning see pacing above...this was during most of the hills...got too happy at the beginning then at about mile 9 severe cramping due to improper pace and poor nutrtion..didnt take salt until Mile 9 nor many drinks. Have to respect the distance...lesson learned. From mile 10 and on it was pretty much torture severe cramping al the way. What would you do differently?: Pace, pace , pace..patience..follow your nutrition plan no matter what Post race
Warm down: Walking back to gear pick up and then to shuttle pick up.. a little strtching What limited your ability to perform faster: Overconfidence led to improper pacing leading to a bad run..respect the course and the distance..learned my lesson the hard way..but at least I learned Event comments: The race was extremely well planned and organized. Great volunteers, excellent Bands in route, plenty of goodies. And post country music concert to boot. Overal outstanding race prep. Last updated: 2009-12-22 12:00 AM
