Comments: This was my longest run so far including training. I felt really good at about mile six and decided to step up the pace a little. Judging by my times i'm not sure that that speed increase lasted very long. I had lots of fun though. It was a very rewarding race for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing really. I could have probably had a faster time had I waited till the last mile to step up the pace but it wouldn't have made that much difference. I also should have taken my own hydration with me. Post race
Warm down: ate a banana some pizza and gatorade walked around waiting for the awards. What limited your ability to perform faster: Probably my weight. but i'm not too too concerned about the time now. Woke up .. thought the race started at 8:00. it really started at 7:30 as I found out waiting in line at the porta potties at around 7:20 :)
Ate a Zone bar and had a bottle of gatorade.
Jogged out to the starting line and did some light stretching.
