Comments: Maintained a fairly consistent 8:30/mile pace for the first five miles. Fell off this a little bit between miles 5 and 6. Hamstrings got very sore during the last mile. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and did some stretching. Ate a some Cliff Bars and bannans. What limited your ability to perform faster: This was my first 10k ever, and I think it went very well. To get better in the future, need to go on more long runs and do some more speed work. Event comments: Overall a very good race. Would definately try to do this one again. Got up around 6:00am drank two glasses of water. Ate breakfast around 6:30: bowl of oatmeal, piece of toast with cashew butter, two cups of coffee. Left around 7:15 for race, drank another glass of water on the way.
Started warming up around 9:20. Very slow running for about ten mintues, ten mintues of stretching, five minutes more running, followed by some more stretching. Had a gel about five mintues before the race.
