Comments: my first marathon. felt pretty good up till 30K, then had some issues with my hip, knee and foot. stuck it out but was painful journey. Mentally I was strong, and overall endurance was good, but had a lot of joint pain near the end. What would you do differently?: training was not bad, but I think I'll start earlier and try to get in more longer runs. I learned a lot about doing a marathon, it's definitely tough. Post race
Warm down: walk, drink and eat. What limited your ability to perform faster: joint pain. Event comments: I read lots of negative comments on the Honolulu Marathon. I don't think they are warranted. Overall I felt it was well organized, well executed, and pretty fun. For the sheer size of this event, they do a pretty good job and I'd do it again.
