Run
What would you do differently?: Maybe run a 22-23 mile training run. Try to move wall past 26. Post race
Warm down: Walked like zombie and slowly gravitated to hypothermia. Foil blanket saved me, but my baggage bus was farthest away. Had to sit down to recover some as I put on dry clothing. Got some soup and couple of beers at restaurant, then down stairs (ouch) into subway to hotel. Thanks to brother Walt and his wife Kathy for the assist. Got shower, feet up, meal and Bruins game before returning home. All positive outcomes. What limited your ability to perform faster: Me. Need to get to the next level of conditioning. The pre-race waiting in lines probably wore on me, but most everyone had to do the same. Event comments: It was great to be part of such a great tradition. All the volunteers were fantastic. The cheering crowds were overwhelming. The Wellesly girl I kissed, whoever you are, was exquisite. What more could a guy ask for? Last updated: 2010-01-06 12:00 AM

1hr waiting for bus to Hopk. 1hr bus ride. .5 hr in line for potty. Ate some fruit and perpetuem mix in 16 oz water. .25hr laid down shivering in cool wind. Finally hit potty to evacuate...ahh.
walked .7mi to start. Missed 10:30 start time. Got in with 8:30 pace runners. Just right for first mile. Then accelerated.
