Swim
Comments: Really happy with this swim. After not swimming much since the HIM, I was less than a minute off my March Splash and Dash time from last year. What would you do differently?: Not much... just need to get back into the swing of things Transition 1
Comments: I lallygagged on this one. I just didn't want to be cold. So I took along time drying off, putting on my running socks, than wool socks, then two shirts, and then, horribly stupid, ski pants. Then my stupid race number kept falling off my race belt. What would you do differently?: I would move with a sense of urgency. But I was really more focused on the swim. Run
Comments: lol This was awful. Last March my time was 22:57. But like I said, much time was spent in transition. And the course had a lot of snow on it. At times it felt like quicksand. And then there was the ski pants. Why I thought it would be a good idea I have no idea. But at least I was warm! What would you do differently?: I'd run it as opposed to strolling it! Post race
Warm down: More like a Warm-Up. I sat in the hallway defrosting and kicking myself for losing my Road ID somehow. I walked the course backward for a 3/4 mile and didn't find it. Sigh. What limited your ability to perform faster: Ski pants. Lack of Urgency. Snow. Apathy! Event comments: Always a fun series! Last updated: 2010-01-11 12:00 AM
