Swim
Comments: Pool swim was uneventful...a lot of chop with 12 good swimmers churning it up - went out a bit fast but held on and finished alright. Swim time includes run down to the transition area so it was a bit faster in the water. What would you do differently?: Finish stronger but requires some consistent swimming in training Transition 1
Comments: Not bad - longer since I put shoes on... Bike
Comments: A very solid bike effort today - improved from last year by a minute which is great. Put forth a great effort and worked hard to not let Herb go when he passed me on Industrial Ln. What would you do differently?: Nothing - just keep improving! Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good transition for me - not sure I could be any faster. Run
Comments: Not a great run but I am ok with it in the grand scheme of things - over 2 minutes slower than last year but a different race and different circumstances this year so not overly concerned...I logged a nice run followed by a mile run with Dan and Mike which was great training. Post race
Warm down: Hung with the family for a bit before heading out for our long run. Event comments: Another solid race put on by Ken and the Racine Multisports family. Liked the Open Division feel this year - a lot of fun racing with friends and local guys. Last updated: 2010-01-17 12:00 AM

Had a bowl of Grape Nuts Trail Mix and headed out to pick up a coffee for the drive up to Hagerstown. Checked-in at registration and went to transition.
Actually warmed up for this event more than I typically do - jumped on the bike for a couple up and backs on the park road and then went out for a quick run. Felt pretty good warming up and wish I could spin the legs before all of my events but can't get typicallyt get the bike out.
