Pre-race routine:

Woke at 4:15, ate a banana and Clif bar en route. Arrived at 5:30 as park entrance closed at 6:00. Parking was over 2/3 full. Got T set up and stood in lines for marking and john. First wave started at 6:30 and mine started at 7:00

Ran with bike but cut corner of sand volleyball court to pass someone. Mucked up shoes with sand and mud making it hard to click into pedals.
