Swim
Comments: First swim in a year so I wasnt expecting anything significant. I was just trying to get through it with moderate effort and without swallowing too much water. What would you do differently?: I am sure some time in the pool and working on my form would do wonders, however I am focusing on my cycling at this time and so swimming will have to suffer. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: bike felt good but the resistance is so low you just sit there and spin your legs off for half an hour. Felt like a hamster on a wheel. The bike was not fitting to well since the seat was not level and handle bars too close and no adjustment. Overall felt good and beat my time from last year. What would you do differently?: take my ipod Transition 2
Run
Comments: run felt good and happy with my time. I have not ran much this year at all other than a couple times on the treadmill, and my time was better than last year. I guess all that cycling has helped my running a bit. loosing the extra weight probably didnt hurt either. What would you do differently?: I could probably push it a bit more, but still pushed pretty good and happy with my time. Post race
Warm down: stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: I have only been training on the bike and have not done much running or swimming. Event comments: Perhaps in the near future I will center more on tri's, but for now cycling is #1 and I did this event more for fun and spending time with my son. We both had a great time so this was worth it. I just want this winter to get over with so I can get out and RIDE ! Last updated: 2010-01-19 12:00 AM
