Comments:

This was my first 5k, so I took it slow. I was a little psyched out by the crowd and the obvious more experienced runners around me, but I thought I did well...all things considered.
What would you do differently?:

I had been running mostly around my flat track at the health club. I hadn't run outdoors much, so hills were a little bit of a struggle.

Event comments:

This was St. Isidore's first 5k event they sponsored. They were totally overwhelmed by the response of the Parish...obviously, people love 5k's and they found that out quickly! They only expected about 100 and got about 2 and 1/2 that amount. They didn't have any clocks, official times, but I think they will for the next. I had a good leisurely run around the mall!
