Comments: The race was tough because the intake of glucose and protien was not very good. What would you do differently?: Be seeded! So that I can start earlier :-) And take more food, especially goo. Apply sunscreen!! Lots of it. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Got a message and rode the bike back to the parking i.e 3km. The message helped on the quads and lower back, but the hamstrings was painfull and this caused more pain in my knees. What limited your ability to perform faster: My knees and inability with regards to the bike. Also my tireness and lack of training. The hills got to me and the heat pilled up the problems. The bike was also very heavy. Event comments: Very good race. Challenging and you need to do those hills before the day!! Last updated: 2005-11-21 12:00 AM

At a breakfast of Pronutro and a banana. Grabbed one for the pocket while Bertie was setting up the bike. Sticked the gu on the bike and got away a little later than the organisers expected.
Had a 5km ride from the parking to the start. Did some stretching with the bike while waiting for my pen to start.
