Swim
Comments: Long course meter pool at OSU. The pool was beautiful but I wasn't sure how far I could go in meters. I was happy with 500m but many people on my team beat me. What would you do differently?: I feel like I should have been able to swim farther. Transition 1
Comments: Changed out of jammers and into my tri kit. I took the elevator to the third floor where the bike were. Bike
Comments: For some reason I was overheating terribly on the stationary bike. I kept dumping water on myself. What would you do differently?: I really need to work on leg strength. Transition 2
Comments: No much here. I stood around and jogged a lap of the track. Run
Comments: My legs were shot from the bike but my goal was to make each lap of the 1/8mile track about 50-55 seconds. I did that for most but I just couldn't sprint at the end because my stomach was wrenching. Post race
Warm down: As soon as the run ended I went and embraced a trashcan and puked like I had never puked before. My stomach felt great after, though. What limited your ability to perform faster: I hadn't done much speedwork before. Event comments: It was a very nice facility. Some aspects were a little confusing. Looking at the race results, I am extremely disappointed in the people who were supposed ot be counting the laps for the run. The results say I finished 14 laps, when my times says I finished 16 laps in 15mins. This cost me a significant amount of points. If this happened to me, who else did it happen to? Left campus at 7:30AM for the 3hr drive to Columbus. We arrived at about 11AM and I hung out and watched everybody else race until my wave went off at 3:05PM.
