Run
Comments: Because of the huge crowd at the start line, I never found Aaron or Michael. However, about a mile in, I saw Aaron pass me in a blur of tailfeathers and stars n'stripes (he was less than 6 feet from me when he passed). I tried to speed up and say hello to him, but there was no way to catch him, so I gave him a quick cheer and kept at my own pace. This was a really fun run for me. My coach had instructed me to run the first 7 miles at zone 4 and the last mile at an "all out" effort. The strategy worked great, and I was able to post one of my best per mile averages to date. The event was fantastic, with a "sea of runners" for 8 miles. What a great way to spend Thanksgiving morning! What would you do differently?: Nothing at all. This was a fun day for me. Post race

Drove to downtown Dallas and followed the long line of traffic until I found a parking lot a few blocks from the start. Called Aaron and told him I'd look for him and Michael at the start line. Put on the race belt and headed for the event.
