Run
Comments: It was windy and cold, and the path was very icy at times, but it was a good run. Ran with my friend Ellen, tried to keep her pace up when she was dying in the third mile. I was taking it easy because it was so slippery out -- no need to fall and hurt my arm since I'm only two weeks out from surgery. But - this was a fun run, course is challenging, and I always enjoy having someone to run with, even though it might not be the pace I would choose on my own. What would you do differently?: Not be running with a splint on my arm and needing to be careful not to fall or bump anyone with it! Post race
Warm down: Get into clubhouse and out of the wind! What limited your ability to perform faster: Recent surgery. Event comments: Chili, cookies and hot chocolate afterwards!! Yum! Lots of raffle prizes (though I didn't win one) and my friend Ellen took 2nd place in her age group so at least one of us walked away with some hardware. :) Race is well organized and a lot of fun. Had a slice of toast at home and a couple sips of Diet Pepsi. Picked up some friends, and headed there.
It was friggin' cold out there! Warm-up included staying inside the clubhouse until the absolute last minute. :)
