Run
Comments: This was a difficult run coming off Baker to Vegas the previous week, although that race was only 8.2 miles it had a significant 4 mile steady climb and the race temp was about 100 degrees it really took it out of me. My legs felt dead most of the week and I was just looking to finish La Jolla Half respectably, I did not expect my half marathon PR. I did not feel as smooth and as comfortable on this run vs Carlsbad half, but very pleased with my performance overall. What would you do differently?: Possibly bring a fuel belt or have more capacity for gels. Not have a race the previous weekend! Post race
Warm down: Light to moderate stretching focusing on hip flexors. What limited your ability to perform faster: Fuel and tight/dead legs from previous weeks efforts. Event comments: More aid stations with some actual calories! Last updated: 2010-02-17 12:00 AM
