![]() Swim
Comments: was 14th in the pool, felt good told myself to swim my race. Good tourning at walls but kept hitting head on lane markers. Got passed by one person but that was cool because I got to practice drafting at the end. What would you do differently?: nothing ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Times are a guess! not time for transitions. Pretty good however, everything went on didn't feel to funky coming out of pool. Got into clips and shoes just fine. decided no socks. glad on the decison. This was good transition practice with the new clip in shoes. I opted to run in the cleats and had no trouble! What would you do differently?: go a bit faster ![]() Bike
Comments: Put my stupid garmin in the wrong mode so it wasn't showing me speed or heart rate. didn't care about the speed really wanted heart rate. Finally got it fixed about half way through and strated to crank. Could have been much faster. Lots of beginners on the course riding on the very left side of course making it very difficult to pass. What would you do differently?: make sure garmin is in correct mode ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Took feet out of shoes prior to dismount and dismounted great with the barefeet. Then had an uphill run with bike to the rake way on other side. again time is a complete guess. I had about 4 minutes between both transitions so I just split the time evenlly. Forgot to take helmet off again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! helmet offfffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 My wife needs to hold a sign for me!!!!! What would you do differently?: take the stupid helmet off ![]() Run
Comments: I can't believe I ran under 10 minute miles. I haven't done this since last year training if I even did that. It was only 2 miles but I stopped for about 15 to 30 seconds about 4 times to get my heart rate under 170. Really please with the run. Finished strong with a sprint for the last little bit to the finish. What would you do differently?: go faster ![]() Post race
Warm down: walked around, ate some oranges, bannanna, and pretzels. Drank a gatorade What limited your ability to perform faster: more practice and training. also too much wieght Event comments: It was a good race with great volunteers. The energy was really nice at this race. they also had a kids tri and that was a lot of fun to watch. I would come back next year to do the sprint level race. Never ever thought I would go home with hardware but I guess anything can happen!! Last updated: 2010-02-19 12:00 AM
