Pre-race routine:

Had friends over for a carb load dinner the night before and the was fun! Ate to much but it was so good!! Had a decent sleep and some oatmeal and some coffee. Was a little anxious to get downtown to meet everyone in the run club group!! : }
Event warmup:

Got downtown, went to the bathroom (with minimal wait!), waited at the designated spot and waited some more! We were a touch early!! Chris had to wait on the other side of the fence. Found some people and then we were all there. Chris said the good wishes, gave me kiss and I was gettin' ready to go!

It was another training run! I watched my start and didn't get caught up in the mass wave!! I had a good time, head up and lots of smiling!!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing... it was another training run!!
Post race
Warm down:

Since I was running the 1/2 and Chris did the full... I had some time to kill. I crossed the finish line first and waited for the rest of the group to finish! I greeted everyone as they came across which was REALLY cool! I think it was appreciated! : ) After the good byes were said, I got some food and went to get some dry clothes. Being the Sherpa that I have SOOO much training for, I made sure to grab Chris' stuff too! I think the guy in the alley got a good show! : } Came back and waited for 45 min... it gets cold quick and then its hard to move!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

It was my first race so now I know I can push a little harder and that'll make me go faster!

Event comments:

I would have liked to have stretched more but since it was raining, it made it hard to do and stay dry!
