Swim
Comments: I had a hard time with this swim. I started out strong, sighting well, but it seemed really crowded. Then I started catching the men's wave, and I was feeling really good, but there was a lot of contact. Then I got swam over...4 times. Kind of across my back, like someone took a wrong turn or something. Out at the far buoy there were a few people walking. As I headed in, I came near a bunch of folks who were breast stroking and I got nailed in the leg once. What would you do differently?: I could have navigated better, it just seemed really crowded out there. But I did swim further than I needed too and ended up starting way outside of the buoys. I need to work on the swim, it is definitely my weakest event. Transition 1
Comments: I think this transition went well. Bike
Comments: I am getting stronger on the bike, this was way better than last year. I just need to keep working on hills. What would you do differently?: I think I did this as well as I could have, so really I just need more hill work. Transition 2
Comments: Again, I am happy with this transition. Run
Comments: Because of my calf injury, I haven't run for a month (since my marathon) so I am pleased with how this turned out. I would have been faster if I had ran more before this, but now that the injury is healing, I will get out more. Post race
Event comments: I think this is a great race. Last updated: 2010-02-21 12:00 AM

Ate a bagel and almond butter, a banana. Walked around and talked to people.
Went out and swam for a few minutes.
