Total Time = 1h 47m 10s
Overall Rank = 22/79
Age Group = 24-29
Age Group Rank = 5/8
Pre-race routine:

Drank some OJ, set up transition, hit the porta johns a lot.
Event warmup:

Swam a little.
Swim
  • 13m 13s
  • 880 yards
  • 01m 30s / 100 yards
Comments:

I haven't done much swimming lately, so this was pretty good considering. I can go faster, but I've been focusing on the bike, and the run to some extent.
What would you do differently?:

Swim more in training.
Transition 1
  • 01m 27s
Comments:

Good transition. Seems long because there is about a 40 yard straight up a steep hill run from the water to transition.
Bike
  • 1h 00m 28s
  • 20 miles
  • 19.85 mile/hr
Comments:

It's a tough course. I found a good zone and pretty much nailed the climbing and the descending was a blast.
Transition 2
  • 00m 31s
Comments:

Maybe my best T2 ever.
Run
  • 31m 31s
  • 3.6 miles
  • 08m 45s  min/mile
Comments:

I'm a terrible runner, but this was pretty good for me.
Post race
Warm down:

Wandering around, eating some pizza.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

No training for two weeks prior. I was landscaping and putting in a patio.

Event comments:

Love doing this race. Very laid back, organized, and a lot of fun.
