Pre-race routine:

Had a cup of coffee, hard-boiled egg, and a bagel.
Event warmup:

It was really cold, raw, and rainy so just sat in car until around 30 minutes til race time got out and did some stretching for 15 minutes or so. Acually had a thing of GU, chocolate flavor, which is awesome!

I think due to the fact the mile markers were a little off, threw me a little off.

Nothing really.

Warm down:

Did some stretching and walking around.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The driving wind and rain didn't help that much.

Event comments:

It was a good race, but I was bummed I didn't get a PR for myself. I got to be happy with the time though, it was really good for me. I was very excited to get a medal for placing in my age group. It is my first medal that I got for placing in the top 3 of my age group.

A lot of the runners realized the mile markers were off. Some people with Garmins had the first mile right, but the second mile at .9 miles, and the third at 1.1 Splits were mile 1=7:03, mile 2=6:43, last 1.2=8:24.
Course: Course was mostly flat but most of mile 2 was along Wollaston Beach, and there was a wicked head wind, with light rain.
