Pre-race routine:

Coffee. Goofiness. Bitching about the weather. Removing "no parking" signs for my convenience.
Event warmup:

Talk to shirtless hot guy's friend about why he never asked me for my phone number. Say hi to YMCA girl. Stand around comparing heart rates with Chippy and Dumpster. Admire eye candy.

Comments:

Started out with Chippy and we both had high heart rates for the first 2 miles or so. We couldn't figure out if our signals were crossing or what. Avoided dead possum, yelled and Rick and Trixie.
I had to pee as soon as we started, so we stopped at the porta potties and Max, Renee, Rich, and Lane caught up to us. Lane decided to run with us - woohoo!! Then we started talking about people, about BT, about our lives, about the weather, about the other runners. Saw my friend Rachel and gave her a hug. Yelled for any locals I saw on the course. All the girls wanted Lane and he knew it.
Chippy kept leaving us in the dust at the walk breaks...it was embarrassing. And every time we saw a dog she got all excited. We got rained on but we didn't care. We were slow but we didn't care. It was windy but we didn't care.
We saw Renee and Max again, saw Jeff twice, saw Rick and Trixie 2 more time, I think. Saw Mike and Jean 2 or 3 times. Saw Wendi once, I think. Saw Jeff kicking butt 2 times. Saw Brian and got our pics taken. I yelled for everyone - I like to yell. :)
And thank god for the vaseline at the aid stations!!!!!!!!!!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.

Eat and freaking pass out.
