Pre-race routine:

Didn't have the girls last night, so had a decent sleep. Had a quick breaky. coffee and banana. Chased it with a chocolate GU. We were racing in 90 minutes and didn't want anything in the tummy that needed to be 'removed' during the run.

Comments:

ran prett much as good as a could. leg didn't bother me which was good. Wanted to run under 55 min, so was thrilled I hold this time.
What would you do differently?:

Lose more weight, run faster and kick some serious fast-runners butt!
Winner ran it in 32:43....there were alot of fasties out there. 1st real 'run' of the year around here.

Warm down:

Awesome brunch. Eggs,potatoes,ham,fruit, etc,etc.
Hung out with peeps from the tri-team.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I do not run fast. Although the last year I have picked it up quite a bit. This was a 5min PB for me.

Event comments:

great race. Tons of volunteers out there. 55 door prizes!! 2 big prizes of Trek bikes, trainer & helmet......Will run it next year.
