Pre-race routine:

Got about 5.5 hrs sleep; felt ok in the am. Had some Shot Blocks and expresso, banana, and Gator-Ade.

Comments:

Ran with the Vibram Classics; felt great; probably will never buy another pair of conventional running shoes. The bricks on Camp Bowie were "different" but didn't appear to affect my time(s). Felt good at the end (turned in a 7:58 13th mile per the 301 so I guess I had plenty left in the tank. Didn't really push as training was MINIMAL and just concentrated on keeping HR in mid 80s. Kinda surprised at hill count.
