Pre-race routine:

Up at 5AM, oatmeal breakfast. Arrived at race at 7AM for packet pickup.
Event warmup:

Out Warming up by 7:30. Ran approx 1.5M mixed tempo, then hit the bathrooms one last time.

Comments:

Started out on target pace of 7:15. Had to pull back a bit because of stomach cramps. Race has close to 10,000 runners/walkers. Started closer to front of pack this year so I wouldn't have to weave through as many people.
What would you do differently?:

Didn't eat very healthy night before. Think diet was cause of stomach cramps. Need to work on my nutrition.

Warm down:

Got some water and straight to car. Had to get kids to cheerleading and basketball.

Not a perfect race, but a good start to season.
