What would you do differently?:

nothing
Transition 1
  • 03m 55s
Comments:

I could not get my fingers to work after the swim. I couldnt get my garmin strapped to my wrist. I dropped it twice. Then I couldnt get my chim strap to fasten. Getting out of the wetsuit wasnt too bad. I used the butt butter.
What would you do differently?:

REMEMBER TO STRAP IN MY AERO BOTTLE. I didnt, and it fell twice while I was trying to get started on the bike.
Bike
  • 1h 26m 27s
  • 26.2 miles
  • 18.18 mile/hr
Comments:

tossed my aerobottle after the first couple miles. I picked it up after the race. Couldnt get my foot to lock in the pedal, but other than that I thought I did real well on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

REMEMBER TO STRAP IN MY AERO BOTTLE. Maybe drink more. I drank most of the aero bottle before chucking it, then about 1/3 of the other bottle.
Transition 2
  • 00m 57s
Comments:

great. Was able to get my feet out of the shoes and ride to the transition with feet on top. Ran to transition, took off helmet, and sat down to put on run shoes. Took drink of nuun and was off.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run
  • 52m 18s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 08m 26s  min/mile
Comments:

took about 3 miles to get ny legs back. Chin splints hurt for the first 3 miles. After that I was fine. I did notice I was at 7:30 pace so I tried to slow down in case I blew.Which I never did.Ran good and finished strong. Water was at both turn rounds. I drank water each time.
What would you do differently?:

nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

stretched. Ate turkey sandwiches.

Event comments:

no bathrooms. only one or two boats. No postrace activities. That aside it was a great and fun race.
