ate some cereal drove to Matt's house then 45 min. drive to race site

Comments:

wanted to run between 7-7:10's not looking to do anything great this is a "C" race for me. Right on pace through 7 miles but was hurting in my right leg along the outside to the top of the butt. Decided to slow down to 7:30 pace and run it in, just didn't feel good.
What would you do differently?:

nothing did not have it today, this is 3 straight races I have not performed well.

Warm down:

1.5 mile cool down very easy legs stiff and sore, felt better after cool down and streching

What limited your ability to perform faster:

pain in the right leg and lack of longer miles.

Event comments:

nice race to see where you are at physically, but lots and lots of turns. At this point in the year I would be better served to do the quarter run, 13.1 is just asking for injury.
