Run
Comments: I wasn't 'up' for this run..I had been feeling lousy the few days before and wasn't sure I wanted to actually go through the stress of getting to the start, etc...and I was on a tight schedule as I had to be home by 12:30 to leave for a soccer game....not the greatest mind set going into it. Overall though once I started I was better...still didn't feel real strong immediately but I just sucked it up and went..I think at 100% and feeling better I could have broken my goal of 1:20... What would you do differently?: Get into the correct corral for my pace...since the bathroom line was so long I ended up jumping into the race with a slower pace group..this meant I was weaving my way through people for the first two miles... Post race
Warm down: Nothing..just walked around eating and made my way to the car... What limited your ability to perform faster: I would say my general fatigue of the last few days prior to the race and my mental attitude wasn't the greatest.... Event comments: If you don't mind running with 30k people this really isn't a bad race at all..very well organized...could use about another 100 port a potties but hey, that's small stuff...post race food was good and I was able to exit and get back to my car easily...
