Pre-race routine:

Ate 1/3 cup steel oats+ 1/3 cup almond milk + 3 egg whites around 5 am. grabbed my stuff and headed to transition. at transition around 6 am I drank a boost. drank some water waiting for my wave. set up transition.

Sun was in my eyes the whole way east. waves crashing overhead, felt good but when I got out the water I was exhausted!
What would you do differently?:

reflective goggles, I could have saved probably 3 mins had I known where I was going with the sun in my eyes

Marconi sucked, it was so hot and no ice!!! I believe I could have had a little better day if marconi had ice!!! run/walked Esplanade! last 1.2 I ran.

train the run a lot more leading into race week.
