Swim
Comments: Very good swim for me. Really liked the course and was happy with my first race-OWS without a wet suit. Felt fine. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Need swim instruction (broken record on that comment) Transition 1
Comments: Probably my best T1 ever. Had put Body-glide on my feet prior to swim so that they would slip into shoes easier and it paid off. Very good transition for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: Chose to ride my road bike for this race since it was a draft-legal race and it was through neighborhoods. Turned out to be a good move, but I think I would have been faster on my tri-bike. I also lost time drafting with a crowd of cyclists that I hooked up with along the way, but it seemed smarter to pace line with them than go it on my own in that wind. What would you do differently?: Maybe ride the tri-bike next year. Transition 2
Comments: Good T2, but took feet out of shoes a little too early. Next year wait until on the bike path into the transition area. What would you do differently?: see above. Run
Comments: Nice run; well marked and volunteers steering us properly at every turn. What would you do differently?: Not much. Post race
Warm down: found my friends and walked around a little bit. Started to rain and the Thor-Guard went off.s o everyone headed to their cars and we left. What limited your ability to perform faster: swimming, as usual. Event comments: Great race. Look foward to doing it again next year. Last updated: 2010-03-15 12:00 AM
