Run
Comments: A really great race, lot's of water/nutrition stations, really don't need to carry water. I was doing great until my calf seized around the 15km marker, followed by some GI issues. What would you do differently?: Stop to take care of the GI issues as soon as possible after they present themselves Post race
Warm down: lot's of calf stretching, to relieve the muscle in my right leg, tried to get out of the rain asap, the line-up for food/hydration was stupid long, so foraged for food elsewhere. What limited your ability to perform faster: calf seizure and GI issues Event comments: My one complaint was the food spread, when I finally got into the food tent (went after hubby came in from marathon) they had a very limited spread compared to the previous marathon my husband ran, but they did a great job on hydration/food on the course, and lot's of photographers along the route as well, which his previous race didn't have, so I suppose it all evens out in the end.
