Event warmup:

Bussed out to start. Jogged and stretched some. Had to wait almost 40 minutes in a very cold wind

Comments:

My right ham was sore to begin the race. I think sitting around while they took the busses back to pick up more runners tightened me up. Was caught by someone in my age group at the finish line.
What would you do differently?:

take the second group of busses.

Event comments:

This race really annoyed me. You could barely walk through the bar to get your tshirt and race number before the race because there were so many people. They had record preregistration but didn't increase the number of busses. I was stuck at the start line for 40 minutes in the freezing wind getting tight. After the race was over there was no organization and they took their sweet time to get the rewards so they can sell extra beer at the bar. I ended up leaving before they gave out awards so who knows what they were.
