kept moving anf had to walk up and down hill to get bike and take it to the truck.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of water and not eonough bricks in training

first Tri, but I have been at this one as a photographer. After race activities seemed to be lacking as people headed out fairly quickly after their races
