I had a fairly good start, but after I rounded the first buoy, I went a bit of course and had no one to draft with the rest of the way.

I couldn't find the strap on the back of my wetsuit while running to my spot in transition. I finally found it at my spot and got my wetsuit off alright. The rest was uneventful.

I felt good on the bike course. I was playing a bit of cat and mouse with one guy from my age category, but managed to stay ahead of him by about 30 seconds when we finished the bike portion. I started to cramp a bit mid-way through, but once I took on some fluids, that went away quite quickly.

I felt pretty good on the run. I knew I was in a pretty good position at this point and tried to maintain my spot.

Event comments:

They announced that our race was supposed to start at 9:05, but it ended up starting at around 9:10.
It took a long time for people to join the awards ceremony and thus many people were not inside to receive their awards.
Overall I liked the race because 1) It is my hometown race 2) I got 3rd with a good time and 3) It is a good course
