Pre-race routine:

This was my first tri and I wasn't sure what to eat. I had a couple pieces of toast 2 hours prior and then a Gu 15 minutes before getting into the water. I felt good and had lots of energy.

It was awful, I just could not get my shoes clipped into my bike. I lost 2 minutes because I hadn't practiced enough.
What would you do differently?:

I need to work on my transitions a lot more.

I was way too slow on the hills. I would pass people on the flat portions only to be passed by the same people on the hills.

Running is my weakest event. I wanted to average under a 10 min mile, so I was happy with that.

It was my first tri and I had a blast! Moving up to an Olympic for my next one and I learned so much doing this first. I'll change some of my training to get better for the next one.
