Comments: Other than an elevation profile from map my run I had no idea what I was getting into. I knew it had some hills but not sure overall. Well this baby was hilly as the description says. There was just not a flat spot on the course it seemed like. The gravel roads had mostly short steep hills and some false flats and the paved sections had long climbs. My mile splits are all over the board due to the hills. I tried to stay consistent with my effort and judging by my HR monitor info I did that. What would you do differently?: Nada..felt right..happy with my fitness right now..this was a hard course Post race

9:30 a.m. start time and a 45 minute drive over to Kent City. Up at 6:45 a.m. took a shower and got my gear on. Made some coffee and had a BAGEL (yeah i know weird). Also had a yogurt.
Got to the site at 8:20 and packet pickup. 8:45 went for a 1 mile run with some strides. Hit the bathroom about 3 times and waited for the start. Popped a GU gel 20 minutes prior.
