Swim
Comments: Boooo. Water temp was perfect for swimming without a wetsuit, but I couldn't keep my legs from sinking. I can't officially blame anything but myself. The water was rough though and there was a strong rip current. Doesn't mater though because my bike was waiting for me on dry land; one way or another I made it through the swim. Transition 1
Comments: Not superhero quick, but faster than most. Took some time to bitch about the swim and take a drink of water. Bike
Comments: Knew I had a bad swim but could make up for it on the bike. Pace was comfortably hard; fast but nothing that was killing me. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty quick. What would you do differently?: arrive earlier for better placement in transition. Run
Comments: It's easier to find rabbits on the run than it is on the bike. Didn't really feel like I was pressing myself as hard as a tempo run effort, but I think I was moving as fast as my body wanted to let me. I was focused more on rabbit hunting than chasing the clock. What would you do differently?: Burn my legs out. Post race
Warm down: Got a warm down hug from Lauren and then enjoyed some gatorade and bananas before a long wait in the free massage line. What limited your ability to perform faster: Forgetting how to swim. Event comments: Well organized and affordable. An easy course with a challenging swim. Last updated: 2010-03-27 12:00 AM

Nothing special, just setting up transition and taking a couple bathroom breaks. Breakfast was a powerbar.
Just got in the water to test the Temp, not really for a warmup.
