Run
Comments: Lots of activities going on. Found it difficult at the beginning to make my way through the crowds of people. After getting comfortable with my pace I found that everyone else must have had the same feeling as we thinned out and less passing was going on. I have never seen that many people running at one time!!! This was crazy fun! What would you do differently?: Nothing at this point. I was very happy with my race performance. I little more training would have been nice but I was happy with my end result and I felt good while running too. Post race
Warm down: Walking for a few minutes and then having to stretch due to hams cramping a little. Ran into a few T3er's and chatted for a few minutes. Took some pictures with my brother. Ate cookies, drank 2 bottles of water, and a banana Found my family and they were frozen and ready to leave.......so we did. Went back to hotel and soaked in the hot tub!!!! What limited your ability to perform faster: I would have liked to have run faster of course but I am happy with my run. Next year........yes next year, I will take another month to train to get in a few more longer runs. Event comments: This was my 1st 1/2 and everyone talked it up about "It is the greatest". I would have too agree. I'm going to do it again so that has to say something!! Great job T3er's glad to see a few of you there!! Last updated: 2010-03-27 12:00 AM

The hotel had cold breakfast for racers starting at 5:30. Had English muffin, cereal, coffee (2), yogurt, water (20oz), and grapefruit. Stretched in room and pushed family into van for 20 min ride to downtown.
Stood freezing waiting for the race to start. Tried to keep legs warm by running in place and stretching. Took gel pack 10 min prior to start of race. Checked bad in Fed-Ex truck before race too (what a great idea sure beats throwing you clothes off in the middle of the road and never getting them back!!)
