![]() Swim
Comments: Confusing with the pool start. I will be ready for next year. What would you do differently?: Spend a little longer after water to avoid swinging arms off the start. I can get further ahead to clear water then. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: No transition times. I think they are all included in the bike leg. What would you do differently?: I rode my mountain bike for this event. I was also in plain speedos, and trying to get fully dressed before I hopped on the bike. Fell over twice trying to put bike shorts on, and then my socks. I know know that I need a proper suit! Plus, I was still a little shy, I'm a tad overweight still, and some of those ladies are stealth as. ![]() Bike
Comments: I lost a lot of ground in the bike leg. I was one of the only first timers doing the "big" event (there were three to choose from). I have a proper bike for next year! What would you do differently?: New bike. Shoes. Push harder. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Again, no transition times. We had to stop our bikes before we got off, and my legs were killing by this stage. I could hardly WALK with the bike let alone run. What would you do differently?: This time I have a bike with cleats and I am going to learn how to unvelcro them while I am still riding. Work in progress. ![]() Run
Comments: I am totally not a runner. I had never run at Albert Park before, and the sand on the track was slipping under my feet, and I really struggled to walk properly let alone run. I did alright (for me) but I think I really need to learn to run on all sorts of different surfaces! What would you do differently?: Train. Bricks. That is all. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Just walking around and talking. What limited your ability to perform faster: Myself. As usual. I didn't train it properly, but I am totally hooked on triathlon now. Now I am going to train properly. I have a mind over matter problem with my running that I need to work on. Event comments: This is a fantastic event. I will continue to support it as long as it runs!! www.triathlonpink.com.au I raised $500 for breast cancer research for the event as well. The events were fantastic, and the fanfare went on long after I finished the race, which was good, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Last updated: 2010-03-29 12:00 AM

Not much. Got to the event too early, so was the first to set up my transition. This was my first ever tri, so I didn't really know what to do!
None really. We all sat in the grandstand at MCAS and did a wierd warm up with the aerobics dude before we jumped in the pool.
We had to sit around for so long, since it was a fun tri.
Luckily, I have enough pace to use the swim as my warm up :)
