Pre-race routine:

Got there an hour early (before the 1st wave start, 2 1/2 hours before my wave started), but not early enough. They had the race meeting before I was parked & started before I checked in.
What a mess parking was there!

Pre race routine slightly complicated by the addition of a kayak.

Note: This time would've made 2nd place last year.
Or 4th out of 13 in W 30-35 (2nd last year).
So it wasn't as bad as it seems.

Biking speed on hills and running speed / endurance in general.

Event comments:

I put events not on time though technically they started on time, there were lots of people not parked yet (who had been waiting in line to park for well over 1/2 hr) as the events began. Lots of people traded driving with their spouse and, while waiting in line to park, grabbed their gear and went to transition. Everything well well organized except traffic & parking.
