got to the high school, got all setup and just tried to keep the nerves calm since this was my first one......

a few mild routine strectches but basically just tried to stay warm....

the snaking back and forth from lane to lane was a little tricky and pretty much ruled out the flip turns to avoid head on collisions....

wish i would have known about the speed bump right after you jump on the bike and start throttling out of the T1 area. other than the speed bump it was a nice ride on mostly decent roads....

this transition was much easier as it had warmed up a little and i wasnt soaking wet. i did pause for about 10 seconds to take a nice drink before running out of the T2......
