Swim
What would you do differently?: Go the right way! But I swam good for me otherwise Transition 1
Comments: OK What would you do differently?: Better organization Bike
What would you do differently?: Go faster-I didn't push myself Transition 2
Comments: Bungi laces worked great! Need to glue heel pads into shoes. Run
Comments: Since I ran a 5K race 3 weeks ago and was happy to break 10 minute miles, breaking it AFTER the swim and bike felt GREAT. What would you do differently?: Maybe push myself a little more, but I was pretty beat by the end. Post race
Warm down: Finding husband and kids, stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training and experience. Event comments: This will probably be a great race once they work out the kinks, but they were very frustrating. Last updated: 2004-06-14 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:50. PB and J for breakfast on the road. Hauled kids and friend into car. Got to penn yan at 7:15 and parked in the marked parking lot, which was about 1/2 mile from the transition area. Walked to transition area, past lots of cars parked much closer. Kids were whining. The registration area was chaos-nobody knew where to go. They had run out of goody bags by the time we got there, so we never got our postrace meal ticket. Was told 5 minutes ahead of time that transition was closing at the start of the oly (45 minutes before the start of the sprint) and was frantic.
Putting on wetsuit.
