Swim
Comments: I was nervous about the waves because men went after women and I was in the last womens' wave. I was afraid of getting run down because I'm usually in the last wave. But - no problem. I stayed off to the side and curved toward the exit when I got there. The guys caught up but they were off to my side taking the shortest line. Transition 1
Comments: Terrible as usual Bike
What would you do differently?: Practice corners and start/stop - I lose a lot of time on those Transition 2
Comments: Terrible as usual - took a gel and water because I've had a problem with energy levels Run
What would you do differently?: I could've pushed it more the 2nd half Post race
Warm down: Went back and jumped in the lake and changed clothes - ate 1/2 hot dog. Stayed for awards and talked to Jan - poor thing - she missed 1st in her age group by less than 30 seconds. When the announcer got to "Female 60 & Up", he said "Oh, we've got one of those" - haha I've done 5 tris, and this was my best swim, my best bike, and best run. Helped that the course wasn't too tough and NO WIND. What limited your ability to perform faster: old age Event comments: I'm getting used to courses being mis-measured but I don't understand why the bike measurement was so off. Had to park by beach about 1/2 mile from transition.
Racked off in a corner so I wasn't in anyone's way - but actually turned out to be a good spot - close to swim finish and run start
Swam a few strokes
